Job Title: Full or Part Time Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities:

Technician:

Place IV catheters
Perform Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)
Perform cystocentesis
Administer IM injections
Administer controlled substances
Apply wound dressings, casts, or splints
Anesthesia induction
Euthanize an animal
Suture skin incisions
Dental extractions (not involving bone resection or sectioning of teeth)
Perform thoracentesis
Perform abdominocentesis
Administer IV injections

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology from a program accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association
Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT)
Proficiency in performing common veterinary procedures and using medical equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Commitment to providing compassionate care to animals and their owners
